Dr. Kerry and the team at Emerald Veterinary Clinic are very excited to introduce our new therapeutic tool K-Laser. Class IV K-laser uses photobiomodulation (PBM) to reduce pain, increase the speed of healing, reduce inflammation and increase blood supply to targeted areas. It has a wide array of clinical uses and benefits depending on what your pet needs. K-laser can be used in all species, is pain free and can be performed in the time of a consultation.
Used widely in the USA and Europe, PBM has now been introduced to Australia. It is most commonly used to treat arthritis, chronic pain, including back and hip pain, and to heal wounds more rapidly. This results in less medication for your pet and quicker healing times.

This is related to the nature of the condition:
Acute - 1-4 treatments may be enough

Most of the time, improvement (pain reduction) is felt after the very first treatment. Sometimes for chronic conditions several treatments are necessary. Treatments are cumulative and results are often felt after 3-4 sessions.
